Does GMan have the same technology as BM?

BM teleportation portals are orange/green balls and GMan uses these to get around so does GMan have technology from BM? Thoughts?

The g-man is only ever seen using 1 portal, at the end of OP4 but I'd say he has much much more advanced technology.

Where did you get that idea from is my number one In Half-life, G-Man uses the portals IN the Lambda complex. In Opposing Force (always a rickety bridge of canonical worth) he uses one by the Dam. Neither means that he has the technology in his pocession, only the later sighting suggests it at all. All we see otherwise is his mysterious ability to always be one step ahead of the player. This could be the BM portals, it could be PORTAL's portals, it could be some other mysterious power or mental problem that Gordon has.

edit: of course, I forget both portals at the end of both games, which are presumeably in his pocession. My guess is that if he has got the portal technogy for usage, he didn't get it from BM in the first place, but Xen where it was first presumably found.

Oh yes. For one thing, it is much more subtle.

The effect is the same in the PC version. But as he is definitely flesh and blood in HL2 (when you spawn him - otherwise you shoot straight through him like the rest of the NPCs), there is nothing to be deduced from this.

You don't need a mod to spawn him. And I'm pretty sure the bullets don't affect him even if you do, but combine soldier's bullets can

Well, Half-Life is not fantasy with supernatural powers and magic, it's science fiction and everything could be explained by scientific facts...
