Personally, I'm shitting my pants over this. RE4 was by and far one of the most entertaining, adrenaline-filled games I've ever played. This looks like nothing but an improvement

I just watched the game demo on IGN. It's alright, but not awe-inspiring. None of the choppiness in the trailer showed up in the demo, thankfully. It looks exactly like Resident Evil 4, just prettier, and instead of Chainsaw Guy, it has Giant Axe Guy who can smash down walls. The game will be played entirely in co-op, which sucks ass because it ruins a lot of the tension the game has, but at least the AI partner looks pretty good and you can give her context-sensitive commands.
Probably, but it was only one person playing, and it was significantly longer and much easier to follow what was going on.
Uhm, so is the video link I posted above broken just for me?
And uh, Resident Evil 4 has plenty of open areas where you get attacked from all sides. You know, like the first one in the damn game.
there is new videos on gametrailers
it seems there would be scripted moments in a halflife style
I remenber the director of the game said he got inspired by halflife2 and I see is true
Link?
Takeuchi commented that he recently played "Half-Life 2," and he was impressed by how the game's storyline progressed without the need for the player to raise any conditional flags in the game. While he didn't say that he'll take an identical approach, he did say that RE5 is a "next-generation game" and should reflect that in its gameplay. In addition, Takeuchi emphasized he doesn't want RE5 to be too linear, where all that the user does is clear a stage, watch a cutscene, and then follow instructions to go to the next stage.
