I just got my beautiful little DS Lite this morning and am wondering if any of you have been able to get emulators running on it and if so, how and with what soft/hardware? The system is impressive as heck and New Super Mario Bros. looks absolutely amazing, but I would dearly love to have my NES/SNES/Genesis games running on it soon too! Ideas? Experiences? Thoughts?

There is always the possibility that some Virtual Console titles for Wii will be downloadable to a "blank" DS cart.

If Nintendo don't do that, they are missing an opportunity.

Well I've seen Quake running on a DS but no retro Nintendo titles. Google for DS Homwbrew, if that doesn't turn anything up nothing will.

There are playstation emulators for the PSP as well.

<3 PSP.

Hmm, I think this sounds like the best bet right now. Its pretty cheap and I already have a fairly good size SD card, so we'll see what happens. If it all works out I will be sure to post how it went. Thanks guys!

Can't wait for Opera too! Now that will be seriously kick-ass!

I'd love to play Sega games on my DS, but at the end of the day you can just get emulators for your PC, and my PC has a bigger screen.

I agree on both counts(it is a DS thread after all... ), but to have all of these titles on-the-go would be a huge boon, esp. for the morning commute or the ocassional roadtrip/flight!

You first. :D ..|..
Dude, please keep all the craziness to the other DS vs. PSP thread. This one was supposed to be about helpful information sharing and not pointless bickering. Thanks and cheers!
