Greetings!

I'm the leader of a newly created game developer team. We are creating a Source engine based game and still recruiting talented people.

Detailed project info:

Contacting me if interested. (Not necessarily in joining just on the details. If you do so, provide your details: experience and reference.)

I can only give details on the game concept after you contact me with your reference and I see you have experience.

Sincerely,
Laszlo Acs

P.s.: If you are interested, contact me in e-mail: birddogATextra.hu

- You shouldn't tell people that they'll be compensated upon the sale of the game when you're using an engine that belongs to a company, unless you already have a lease for it.

- I doubt you'll get a lot of people interested when you won't share your idea. Requiring to hear from someone before telling them it can seem like a good plan, but honestly, if someone really wanted to steal it, they could go completely out of their way to gain your trust and grab it. Ideas aren't worth it, because it's the execution that's what counts. I doubt what you have in mind is very different or revolutionary. And chances are if it is, it's also going to be too big to be made by an amateur team of volunteers.

- Like I've said with many projects before, you don't need everything you're hiring for right now. In actual game design, at real companies, music composition (for example) is one of the last things to be done. A friend of mine composes for a game company, and often times the level is completely done before the music is composed. That way you don't get clashing styles and the music is actual inspired by the level.

- What's your role in the project?

nice. your only reference is a post made on another forum. don't bother putting up a site , writing a design doc etc...

And what will you be doing accept "leading" the team ? mod leaders are sooo 2006. haha.

Y helo thar 100,000 dollar (or somewhere near there) Source engine lease

I think Yorick made some very good points about the absurdity of this post and so many like it. i would just like to touch on one thing, you need a reference to apply for this non paying job?!
