I have a habit of deleting games on my hard disk... I perpetually will have to do something to improve on the measly 7gb left on my HD.

PC Games I have (or used to own, and that actually take up space):

Worms: Armageddon
Deus Ex
Max Payne
UT
Diablo II: LoD
Jedi Knight
Shadows of the Empire
Battlefront
Jedi Knight II
Starcraft: Brood War
Warcraft III: FT
Hitman: Codename 47
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin
HL
Blue Shift
Opposing Force
HL2
Ep1
DoD
DoD:S
CS 1.6 & CS CZ
CS:S

Considering for delete:
Diablo II (don't play much anymore)
Battlefront
Jedi Knight
Shadows of the Empire
CS:S (Boo)

Already deleted a few (shitty) games like Doom 3, Jedi Academy, etc.

I have a big dilemma with Steam; it's taking up over 13gb already.

Can't really make a very good choice on what to delete and what to keep, so
opinions appreciated.

Buy an external hd. Bought a 320gb one for 100,-
Saved my ass. So much less worrying about space.

Delete the games of which you don't care about the savegames and can easily install again (meaning the games you bought).

Don't delete Worms Armageddon. It's one of the best turn-based games ever. :D

Hitman II and Battlefront.

:O Can understand Battlefront, but Hitman? Is it the lack of replayability?

I'm still playing through it, though, might consider after I finish :D.

Ok... looks like Diablo II is going down. Sad though. :|

None! Get another harddrive.

And give your old one to me :D

My opinion : you can get a SeaGate Barracuda 200-250GB Internal HD, 7200RPM at 16mb Cache (pretty mandatory cache for gaming) for about ?30-45 nowadays, and i mean thats NOTHING.

I have one in mine now, gone from 40GB to 250GB, and ive noticed performance increases on games and loading times. These things rock.

In fact, this is the one i have:

I have games like Dark Messiag of Might and Magic, Steam (again, 10GB or so like you), Medieval 2, Stalker, CoHs, C&C3, NWN2 etc. All these games are between 5-10gb EACH. Add along the odd pirate film from the net and 5-10gb of music and ive still got 163gb space.
Just partition it in half, or quarter on one disk and 3/4 on the other (C drive and D drive or something), and you can put work one side, games and music etc on the other.

But if i was going to delete anything id go for :
Star Wars games
UT
Old CS and DoD

Basically any game you look at and think 'ive stopped playing that'. You can always reinstall them later, and if you think you might do that at some stage, just make a copy of the save games folder somewhere and replace it with the empty one when you reinstall.
