Hi guys,as i'm new here to this wonderful community where things are really nice and all is good,i was thinking why did Valve made up a mod where you can with a HECU soldier (Corporal Adrian Shephard) a security guard (Barney Calhoun) and Half Life (Gordon Freeman a scientist) and why haven't they done after the release of OF a mod where you can play through the eyes of a Black Ops personnel
The mod would be called "The Black Package" and you play the role of a Black Ops (Black OPerationS) personnel
Subject : Rick Havertti,male age 25
Training : Unknown
Rank : Operator
Current Assigment : Black Ops
Mission : Escort the "Black Package"(aka the nuclear bomb) to rendezvous point

The game starts off in an AH-64 Apache attack helicopter, you are in it with some black ops personnel and you land safely near Black Mesa from there you get to ride in an M35 cargo truck right next to the one with the Black Package..your car get's damaged due to an attack of vortiguants who damage the car's wheels and you must regroup and find the other black ops and the black package..things get dirty and ruff inside black mesa..the remaining marines start shooting on you..(remember this mod is after OF so the remaining marines know that black ops were sent in to silence everything including them),you would get to see familiar faces like A.Shephard,G-Man..this is all a fragment of my imagination and i didn't stole nothing from no one so what do you think????

Valve didn't actually make the expansion packs. They were made by a company called Gearbox under license from Valve.

it would be a awsome expansion if they were ever to make something like that

Well the story isn't the same..the HECU does not capture it kills, and you can't go to jail your a god damn Black Ops Operator i mean your sent in by the government to silence and clean-up all the mess that's there and you get to jail..no way.. my story is related to the Half Life Franchise as i told you,you get to see familiar faces like A.Shephard and G-Man..i didn't say this is a unique ideea on the "Black Ops mod" but the title and my story are unique..jeez i hope they make it :p

if he made it i would play it

I'm sure you would Ozzy..if only Valve would do it oficially,i mean think of it entering unexplored parts of Black Mesa again with that original Half Life gameplay style,it's like going through that gameplay one more time ..and i'm sure after that they would eventually do and continue the story through the eyes of Rick Havertti the Black Ops Operator would be awesome:stare:

Sorry to be Mr. Buzzkill, but I don't like this idea.
I can't see anything new or interesting that this game would bring to the hl series.
I mean we've been to black Mesa, we've taken the role of an "enemy" in opposing force,
and we've seen alot of the unexplored parts of black Mesa in blue shift.

So besides having a few new gameplay mechanics associated with being an assassin,
I'm not seeing much point to this.

Well i'm sure we haven't explored all of Black Mesa just some parts even though in Blue Shift we get to explore more but that doesn't mean we can't get to see new parts of BM and besides playing as an assassin is quite fun it's a new experience it's a new story..You play as Freeman (a scientist) as Corporal A.Shephard a grunt,Barney Calhoun (a security guard) and why not as an assassin it's what's left and what's missing in the game in my oppinion

An Assassin is way more cool than a security guard like Barney Calhoun (but then again Barney made it into Half Life 2)..cheerz

Naw. The mortality of an ordinary security guard, similar to that of a scientist, trying to survive when everything goes to shit and wondering why this wasn't on the job requirements, is a lot cooler than an assassin imo.
