For those of you that wanted to help out with what I hope will become the Halflife2.net Machinima team, please post.
Only people who want to help should post.
I am working as team leader (for the time being anyway), as a director, writer, editor, and filmer. Skills are:
Director: Directs, envisions, etc; we only need a few of these
Composer: Writes music for the films
Sound Editor: Finds good sounds for some effects
Writer: Writes scripts and dialogue
Coder: Scripts events in the film
Editor: Edits film, should have programs such as Final Cut or have access to them
Filmer: Films for scenes, must know basic terminology and have full version of FRAPS (fraps.com)
Mapper: Makes small maps for individual scenes; most mappers will only help on one movie, but if there are dedicated ones that are into it and want to work on the team full time, they may.
Modeler: Creates models, mainly characters, for the productions; also may be a full time member if they are good and are dedicated
Actor: Part time job usually, only works on one movie. Controls the character.
Voice Actor: People who speak the dialogue in the movie. Must be able to sound convincing, and have a good microphone with little background noise.
*Note: actors should preferably own microphones as well, as teamspeak or in game voice will be used to communicate while we film.
People should post the following information if they want to help:
If you are a mapper or modeler who is experienced and dedicated and wish to be a full time member of the team, from movie to movie, put full time in parentheses next to the skill.
