help with zoom modem / xbox 360 live help too.

Hi.

I've been trying to get onto xbox 360 live with my zoom x4 modem but i'm having big problems with it.

I'm trying to get the modem working on my pc first, but when i enter 10.0.0.2 and the username/password box pops up, the pass/username won't work. I'm using the same pass/username the manual supplied. Which is "admin - zoomadsl"

It just won't work. I have no idea how to fix this. If i can get into the zoom modem control settings i will be able to set up my modem so it'll work with my xbox 360.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not experienced with Zoom modems, but shouldn't you be trying to access it on 192.168.1.1 ?

No, its 10.0.0.2. Thats what it says in the manual anyway.

The password/username box pops up with this address. I just can't get the password or username to work. I'm enterting the right info, it just won't work.

on my modem the user/pass is admin/admin

Sometimes you just put in admin

Yep. Mine's 10.0.0.1 and admin/admin (D-Link POS... I mean modem). Give it a try.

Different modems use different IPs I think, CB.

I've only ever worked with routers, we generally used to tell customers to throw away their ADSL modems :E
