HL2 Signs

Hi, has anybody noticed that in HL2 on all levels, or i think so that there is a spray painted logo of the HL. Wonder y this is, i was thinking early that maybe it could be a answer to a question Valve later have to release. here is a screenshot of what i mean...

As far as I can tell, the Lambda indicates a Resistance storage area or safe point. In other words, a place to meet allies or pick up gear.

Yup...hey what does that black spray painted image next to the lambda mean? I've seen it in a lot of places.
