:bonce: I am making my first map right now and am having problems with the loading my map.I can find my map file as an unknown file but can't test it on steam. Here is a rough clip of what the thingie says whenever i try to test (i'll narrow it down to the error part)craziness@crazy somehow keeps becoming the map i am loading even though i save it as something else:

what did you save it as?

I called it Testmap and its suppoesd to be loacted inside (e-mail)/counter-strike/(here)

If that's when you're compiling you have a serious error which quits the compilationprocess emmidiately.

ok thnx well i got that problem fixd but now it says my wads wont open. I've tried like 6 of them and they all dont work. I am dling the halflife.wad cuz i dont have it for some WIERD reason. Can anyone tell me why none of the wads I download work?!

1) Upgrade to ZHLT. The old Q tools, and many of the early ZHLT versions, don't support the "." in "[email protected]". http://ammahls.com/zhlt/index.htm

2) I am perplexed by the sudden infusion of people who think this is a HL1 mapping forum.

3) What's the exact WAD error message?
