After having Halo for the PC for about 2 years now, I could never get it to work, I was bored today and I tried my luck, and what do ya know, it worked! (It has worked before, but I uninstalled it and I couldn't get it to work since) I started the campaign at 1:37pm this afternoon, it is now 1:29am and I have beaten it! It took me 11 hours and 52 minutes to beat Halo 1 (PC) in one sitting (minus bathroom and food). I AM DONE, I CAN FINALLY GO SIT ON THE COUCH!

woot! :P

I wasn't a fan of Halo on PC for MP but I'm sure it's about the same in SP.

NICE! I beat Quake 4 in one sitting. 16 hours none stop.

My next goal will be RE4 (when I get it) or System shock 2 (When it's done downloading)

Have you ever successfully ran System Shock 1 on your com? I can't get it to run on mine.

Yeesh, I never play games all the way through in one sitting o.o'

I'm a "play this for a few hours, then play that for a few hours, go hang out with friends for the rest of the day" type of person.

10hours for Fable, this is the PC version so I'm including the lost chapters :rolling:

Five hours to beat timesplitters with a buddy on x-box, dunno if that counts, though :P

I didn't finish the singleplayer on the PC. I played it online most of the time. It's multiplayer is fun.

I used to play multiplayer, before I moved and had to get GAY GAY GAY GAY dial-up

i almost beat Indido Prophecy yesterday in one sitting, but had to go pick up my speakers D:

I'm pretty much like Lucid, can't stand playing a game for too long (at least single-player portions of it) and friends takes the priority for me.

Although as of late, Knights of the Old Republic has taken complete hold of me.
I love that game to death x.x

Wow, we're a page into this thread, and no-one has used "repetition" and "Halo" in the same sentence.

ah...Ooops. :o

Congratulations on your completature of this nice-enough but not hype worthy game. I myself have completed it twice, which is more than can be said for many, many games. It has its merits.

I played the first level of Halo and stopped before I wasted anymore of my time. Then I went to go play a better game, Tribes.

Halo isnt that bad its a average game. Oh and how do you judge a game from its 1st level, thats just retarded.

Furthermore, how do you judge Halo badly from its first level, which is actually really, really good? My guess: you sucked at Halo, you concluded it was bad and saved face :D

How did I do it? Well, after playing the first level I simply said, "Well that sucked", and then played some Tribes :)

To see how I did it refer to first quote.

Yes, I sucked at playing it so I got angry and... saved my face?

Sorry if I sound like an ass in this response. :dozey:

When my brother first rented that game i saw it and thought "Why did you bother with a shitty star wars game?" and then i played it.

We ended up returning it after i'd beaten it. A week after it was due. And this was playing non-stop for a few hours every day.

Whoops.

You can't suck on Halo on the first two difficulty settings. Maybe the third. Legendary is a test in patience.

How Halo was so hyped up is beyond me. HL1 was far better, and older. just shows what marketing does.

And it was sooooooooo repetitive.

I think the same people went on to market ipods. Who wants some overprice piece of crap that won't even play mp3's, and can't be used for data transfers between PC's (well I think there is now a version out that lets you put pics on it as well, but why not whatever other data you want?) There are so many cheaper, more usefull options, and they play mp3's to. Too many sheep in this world.

The new ipods can hold anything you want (pretty much an external HD if you want) and can also play videos. My coworker has one of these new ipods and has Scrubs: Seasons 1-4 (part of 5), a couple movies, a ton of music and a ton of pictures.

They're awesome mobile media centers.

Well it's about bloody time! Almost everyone else's one have always been able too! What about playing mp3's though?

I heard the xbox version was better than the pc is this correct . Finally is there any patches for halo 1

Bloody hell games are too easy, more and more games I finish in one go, Fable is a perfect example of this, only took one day. (PC version ffs)

I hate that game.

What are you on about? My Ipod is 2 years old and can do all of that. Perhaps the above was true of the original Ipod, but we're talking about 5 years ago or something silly.

Edit: The 2001 1st generation iPod played Mp3s, and allowed you to dump any files you wanted onto it. Where on earth have you been getting your information from?
