Hello all...I am Ikerous GF. I am not sure how to use this, but I am trying to learn. If you have any pointers I would really appreate them. Thanks A Bunch Of 'Em...;)
 
No offence when I ask this, but are you a cow by any chance? Ikerous is quite the beastialist!
 
Welcome to the forums. I don't think I ever thought about it before, as these just sort of evolved from chat rooms for me from the early 90s. Tips...

Use the search button before posting a new topic (that others will respond to) to make sure it hasn't been posted before (recently).

If you do post a new topic, make sure it's in the right forum. For example, a question about how to pass a certain level in Aftermath shouldn't go in the Site Feedback forum. The worst that'll happen is a moderator will move it to the right forum and some of the members might call you a noob.

You can make a signature if you edit your profile (some text that'll show up on every post you make). There are some rules for how big a signature can be.

If a topic is going downhill fast or will cause general problems for the board, it'll be 'locked' and no more replies may be made.

Some topics of recurring interest can be 'stickied' which means that as new topics are added to a given forum, the sticky one will always remain at the top. I actually expected there to be a guideline stickied in Newbie Lounge.

You can send other users private messages (PM) that's basically like email.

If you're going to reply to a topic and would like more functionality than just some text (color, hyperlinks, pictures, etc.), there's a "Go Advanced" button that'll bring up your post in an advanced editor. (I see you have an icon in your post, but I'm not sure if you entered the smiley characters or were already in advanced mode).

Have Ikerous show you. I always assume that people live with their girlfriends though, but that's not always the case. If these tips are way below what you already know, my apologies (I hate doing that).

no I am not a cow. Why would you ask me that? I thank you for the welcome. I would ask him to help me, but he can sometimes be a bit stubborn. So I want to thank you for the infomation that you did give me. It was a lot of help. I do have a question though. How can I get a icon instead of... well the nothing I have now?

Go to the top left.. and then down a lil.. and theres a link that says "User CP" and click that
Then on the left hand side theres a list of links. Go down to "Edit avatar"
You can change your avatar there. I'll help you when you come by tonight :)

I am a real girl, and yes, I am also sad to admit I am also Ikerous' GF. Yeah I know sad....lol...But I do <3 him. I will be willing to prove it as well, any way you see fit. And just out of curiousity, is there anything I should know about him? You all seem doughtfull that he could have a Gf. And that does bring me to worry just a bit.

No, he just dares to talk about taboo subjects like beastiality and necrophelia. Not that that makes him one :D
Many people think he has an unhealthy interest in weird subjects, but he's pretty normal :p

Well see he never really introduced me to this place...he would just ignor me for it from time to time. I figured to get his attention I would join. Dont knowif th at was one of my shinning glories but hey, I will live. And I like to so far.

Well that does make me a bit nervse. I guess that is a part of him I am not meant to see. But I am all willing to hear about them.

Well yeah, people tell more things and tell them more openly on the internet precisely because they know that it won't effect their own lives, but they can still vent their thoughts.

The internet is actual a very social place, you just have to look in the right places. An internet forum like this is a good spot :p

Yeah, that's right about the best advice anyone can give on these forums :D

If we suddenly talk about buttsex (a.k.a. buttsechs), it doesn't mean we've suddenly become homosexual. Sarcasm and jokes on the internet
are hard to spot in the beginning, but you'll learn to get a feeling for it :p
