I lost Shadowmere

how the hell did I lose shadowmere? he's unkillable! ..I went into a cave for some exploring ..exited through a door in the bottom of a lake and swam ashore ..went back to where I left shadowmere (the Black horse given to you by the black hand guy) but he was gone! ..I fast traveled to the nearest city hoping that my horsie would just be put into the nearest stable but no ..he's gone

does the horse disappear once you finish the dark brotherhood quests? I really liked shadowmere as he kicked ass and is faster than most horsies

Go back to fort farragut outside Cheydinhal. He returns there on occasion,Never did figure out why though.

I ****ing hate it when I decide to steal a horse and take it for a test drive, only to find that my Black Horse that I shelled 5K gold on is gone.

I hate how if you get on another horse, the last horse you were on returns to the stable you bought it at.

I lost Shadowmere as well, Happened not that long after I got him as well. So I did a lot of game without my horse.

Same here, Shadowmare vanished after I came out a Aleyid Ruin after a thirty minute slog. I initially thought that he (she?) had been killed by a few goblins or something, but I never realised that it was a known bug ... :|

I refuse to pay for horses ..I'll buy them armor (yes I downloaded the armor mod, but it was FREE) but I wont pay for a horse ..they're just too damn easy to steal

Fast travel once to somewhere outside, and he'll be next to you.

i read in a strat guide that when you lose him, you can go somewhere to find him again, but i forgot the place....

Generally she turns up at the fort where you get him, but she might turn up if you fast travel.

I lost him in the same manner. I've stopper stealing horses, they always end up gone after a few minutes.

Shadowmere killed me, I was riding down a steep mountain, he 'slipped', i fell off him, then somehow he fell on my head, and *splat*...

Damn that horse weighs a ton. I'm buying a mountain goat.
