Kind of a taboo, but bullsquids are in the hl2beta and I believe the hydra was supposed to guard the citadel in a huge surrounding water-filled thrench like old castles had.

Those creatures on XEN are probably from other planets, and got stuck in XEN and had to develope.

And for those who wonders where the Bullsquids are, well, in the First Aftermath news on Steam Weekly announcment, they said something like "you have done critical damange to the citadel, suppresion fields are shut down, and massive forces of aliens keept out of City 17 are now entering the city rappedly"

And by the looks of it, they'd been there for quite some time, either through being stranded, or through personal choice. It's pretty safe to call them Xenians, in the same way that white Americans are no longer classed as Europeans.

Becasue we know that the Crabs can forcefully alter DNA, it could have the power to alter it's own DNA over, maybe only one Generation. I didn't say that this altering would have to happen on earth, but it could seeing what we know about them.

Wouldn't the 'mutagens' just be mutating the being, thus partly altering it's DNA, the same way that a virus does it. Inserts it's own DNA into the victim cell then the cell starts being like that code of DNA...

what'd love to see is something in the HL saga where there's a guy with a pet headcrab... oh wait, nevermind.
