Curious if there's any good jet pilots around here that has any 1.22 tips
----
I just started flying again, haven't touched the jet really since 1.12 ...

First thing I noticed is that dogfight's are ridiculous nowaday's, it all basically boils down to who's got the first tail lock-on. :/ Anyway, any recommendations for sensitivity setting? I'm using 8 right now and I'm finding it close to a good feel, I'll probably bump it up slightly.

I learned that barrel rolls are great at avoiding missiles, especially if you're in the J-10 (stupid plane is ridiculously good...). My best evasive manuevre has been pulling straight up, do a half loop then flip upside down and go another half loop, usually brings me about 650 feet; just below the stall range. After that if they're still on me I do a full loop downward's getting real close to the ground then start barrel rolling like a madman, this usually get's me out and I'm curious if it's the best move to use. I suck at flying with the camera view back, I'm basically learning things as I go.

I like to just pull straight up and fly as high as possible when I get the lock. If you afterburner through, they usually either can't copy your, lose control (newb pilots), or lose sight (Kubra and other dusty maps).

Flying under a bridge will break the lock for a split second, which is usually enough time to flip upside down and behind the bastard.

Don't take off when flashed.

I disagree. Flying when blind is the most fun any spectator can have :D

Bwahahahaahhaha :E

There's a hidden story behind that, last night after SixThree got my killed when he blocked my runway, I decided revenge was the best course of action. We hoped onto a Wake Server and there, I proceeded to Flashbang him as he took off which caused him to crash into nearby huts / buildings. The last straw happened after he ran me over after I flashbanged him and he crashed into a building, the server kicked him for the negative score ...

Needless to say, I won that round XD (at least vs SixThree, who was on my team :P)

Don't fly below 0 altitude.

No wonder, so that's what I've been doing wrong all this time...

It's a common misconception that jets can phase through solid objects.

Another tip - Do not drink or eat while in the cockpit of a flying vehicle. Especially turkey and sushi.

I usually keep turning in random directions, they can't missle or gun you if your turning as they are turning right behind you and if you keep at it you will eventually get them.

If your in a j-10...you don't need to worry about a thing. It is faster and turns sharper than anything else. You will dominate.

If not then you only need to worry about one thing. If there are j-10s on the enemy team, don't fly, pilot, gun, drive, or spawn.

Oh...also when shooting missles shoot them in front of the jet as they have to curve and this way they will land. When you get a lock on wait for them to toss flares then lock on again and shoot 2 missles. Also don't be afraid to shoot your machine gun as it tears stuff up. I use that more than missles.

Also, don't be afraid to kamikaze into a helicopter. I don't know why, but it morally aggrivates your enemy that you're such an ass.

It's fun to fly headlong into them and shave the edge of their chopper.

It really pisses them off. Satisfying to watch the pilot try to type angry messages and fly at the same time :D

But ramming the jet into a tank won't harm it. So becareful of your targets.

Just open your bomb bay a few seconds before impact.

Problem solved.

Or just bomb the tank and don't be a tard and crash.

If I could actually bomb something...... :(

Haha...

Yeah, J-10's dominate. Your only chance with any experienced pilot is to go STAIGHT up, till you stall out. The other pilot will not follow you up there, but it's likely you'll never readjust your plane within map limits.

The J-10's eat everything alive sadly...

I've messed with the sensitivity setting but there's one thing I've come to realize, against an opponent with a decent joystick you're at a huge disadvantage using mouse + keyboard. The fact that they can specify throttle setting and hold onto more continuous turns basically puts you in a handicap :(
