That's the problem of the headcrab that's replaced your brain, not yours - what makes that lump of flesh you has passed away long ago.

I still think that some of your brain would still be there, but just enough for bodily functions and pain. although not enough for free will, pain is likely the only thing they can feel. After all it would be really hard for the head crab to control both it's plus the zombie's bodily functions. Although, stalkers must be in a horrible amount of pain, plus humiliation(they wear something diaper looking) Hmm...not so sure about it now.

I doubt that whatever person the Fast Zombie is still using, it's not alive or not alive enough to feel pain. When you shoot of a normal zombies head you see a face, almost completely intact. That person was most likely alive.(Hence the human muffled screaming). But the when you shoot off a Fast Zombies head, it's just a skull.

Yes, if this were a poll between the regular zombies (or even poison zombies) vs. stalkers, I would have to vote for the zombies, because they're still alive and sane enough to realize who they are and what has happened to them. A stalker might feel pain, but they've had their memories wiped...they might not remember their humanity at all. A zombie does.

As for fast zombies, I'd imagine the process of transformation is FAR more painful than what a stalker goes through (which is why I voted for fast zombies), but afterward...the stalker has to live through it, the fast zombie's host doesn't. At least, if they do their bodies have probably become numb to it, and they're not making any audible complaints.

Agreed and disagreed. The stalker-isation process might be pretty horrible, but I don't think the Combine would be so inefficient as to leave all those bits of the brain that would slow you down with worry, indecision, etc. Stalkers obviously scream but I'd say that's from insanity and confusion more than anything. They are after all there to do a job for the Combine, and the Combine don't get anything out of keeping them in a perpetual state of suffering. I'd say they they're more unaware than aware, going about their tasks mostly mindlessly

Fast zombies on the other hand are a much messier job. The way I've always understood the lack of flesh was due to the fact that the process of fast-zombification and maintaining the fast zombie burnt up so much energy that the host ends up eventually digesting its own tissue (after all, they don't have the 'maw' chest-mouth of he normal zombies). I'd imagine that to be incredibly painful.

Comparing the two, I'd say being a stalker would be like a dull, nightmare-disturbed sleep, whereas being a fast zombie would be like a physically painful, fiery dementia. I picked fast zombie for being more painful, but as for which one I'd rather be, it's hard to say.

Fast Zombies are run by the the headcrab, awarness and your mind are probably gone out the window. You don't seem to have any organs or skin, so no pain nerves. Though if awarness does exist then it would be hell.
Stalkers are probably lobotimized and don't even care.

But I'll go with stalker.
