Like something out of a horror movie, screw worm females go after the bare flesh, laying 250-300 eggs in a host. When you feel that itch, whatever you do, don?t scratch it. The reason why they?re called screw worms is that the maggots will only burrow deeper, causing tissue damage and even death.

Where exactly is Yemen? They seem to be having the problem according to the article. (Reads more) Seems to be happening in the Middle East alot. Poor dudes. It's a good thing most of them are covered up.

it could be worse being covered up...i don't know maybe you give the worms better shelter and make the infection tougher to see. i depends how loose your clothes are.


wouldn't it be creepy going to bed with a bruised knee only to find later in the morning it is full of eggs. :bonce:

Those worms are actually on a corpse.
