must be you cause it ain't me, tell me how to do this and i'll provide a screenshot

or you could just go look for yourself, at the opening screen with the console open type "map d3_c17_02" then "sv_cheats 1" then "noclip"

He is telling the truth, in the apartement block, after departing with dog, gman is standing on such a boat, with the raven on his shoulder, and i assume he no clipped to the place where this is...under the citadel (not when you actually get to the citadel) and there is a wal before hand.

But yeah, found loads of times.

SCREEN

others available, limited bandwidth

riomhaire, no doubt you'll know cause it says garrysmod v5 in the corner :upstare: :upstare: :upstare:

This is posibly the strangest thing in the game, if true.

he is there because he needs to be. in the anticitizen level there is a tv that features the gman on it. and as you know with the hl2 engine, if something appears on a tv screen it has to actually exist somewhere.

Its the same principle behind the "dr breen sitting in a tiny box outside of the map so he can appear on the big tvs"

I'm wondering if the whole G-Man with Raven thing is some kind of reference to death or the River Styx or something.

Anyway, this is not a new sighting for the reasons that Samon gave. There are no unfound G-Man sightings in HL2.

well, I believe that's already old. you can see him on the TV too. in the first apartment you enter.

but the boat, the raven, surely some kind of valve clue for the hardcore?

I remember someone posting another thread on this awhile back, so it's not a "new" sighting. Certainly is an odd sighting, though.

Does this remind anyone else of "Twisp and Catsby: In the Birdsea," by Penny Arcade? Maybe G-man has some ominous secret to tell you.

This could sound a bit redicilous(sp?) but the raven could hint that it doesnt see G-Man as a threat possibly not even human. If he's not human and the raven would not seen other like that before he could look like a wooden trunk to the rave. :S Only an idea (I like the River Styx idea better)

The G-Man River Styx idea sounds cool, but I'd say it was kind of more on the Norse side.

In the Norse mythology, Odin (the leader of the Gods) traded one of his eyes for wisdom (so he's now half-blind). Odin has two ravens that explore the world for him, and at the end of every day, they tell him all that they observed.

Perhaps the G-Man is using Ravens to spy on Gordon?

When G-Man appears on the TV screen, does he have a raven on his shoulder? If he doesn't, than we're ment to see him standing in the boat. I mean, this wouldn't be a pic of him "posing for the TV screen"

Hmm... most probably. I mean... maybe he can talk to the ravens and command them.

That G-man is one sneaky SOB
yeah he is always damn sneaky... you cant even see him use his portable teleport device inside his briefcase.

I kill all ravens i can, because they could be randall flagg

Perhaps the raven that flies into the barnacle is warning Gordon?

Notice at the start of "Follow Freeman", when you have to rescue Barney, the snipers are taking potshots at the ravens. :P

You guys are blowing this way out of probortion.
It's probably just an Easter Egg. Not everthing has a hidden meaning.

there are ravens in almost every section of the game. I'm sure they're symbolic, but I'm not sure if their symbolic of that.
