Nintendo Wii "Classic Controller" Revealed

Nintendo's Japanese site just revealed this picture within the last hour.

This can be used for NES, SNES, N64, GCN, GB, GBA and lazy multi-console ports. XD

In my opinion this is the perfect solution as it has superb functionality, providing for ALL needs AND it looks like the SNES controller.

It is like a dual shock and a snes had puppies.

Doesn't look terribly comfortable but, then again, neither did the original snes (and it worked out nicely).

Actually, looking more closely at the photo, it seems to have an ergonomic-type curve around the bottom.
Indenting the A and B is also not a bad plan.

I approve. Looks like a great controller for conventionally controlled games, and actually looks like Nintendo's best controller except the Wii-remote itself, of course.

I DO NOT like that at all. I think it would be just to hard to handle. But then again I could be wrong.

The N64 games should be easier to play now, due to the C-Buttons being replaced with an analog like for the GameCube controller.

My only concern is that the controllercould be too thin. It seems like you'd get a cramp playing games that required use of the shoulder buttons (i.e. shooters).

Other than that I like the design.

Thing is Nintendo have ALWAYS put an increadible amount of thought and work on their controlers.

the game cube controller is my all time favourate, its like the playstations evolved and perfected.

This controller will probally rock, my only slight concern is the position of the analogue controllers as I hate the playstations. I'd rather just have the gamecubes controller.

why is the wire coming out of the bottom?

It's coming from the front/top of the controller. It just looks like it's coming from the bottom because it's folded back.
