Huh. Yes, probably. Though the last interview I saw had them talking about spreading the gamer points over Portal, Ep 2 and TF2.

i think there will be achievements for hl2 and ep1... but there will not be many, for example - completed ep1 50gp.

Regardless of what country you are from math is the American word and maths is the British one.

I never knew that. I always thought maths was just the poetic way of saying it, like "rains" "moneys", and other such things.

Maths is an abbreviation of Mathematics, and although a singular collective noun and not purely plural, it is often used as such.

Math is incorrect as a plural abbreviation, and although accepted as an abbreviated collective noun by Americans (which is in fact technically correct), Mathematical is the correct English term used in it's singular collective context, and not Mathematic; ergo when used in context: "You fail at maths", the plural abbreviation of Mathematics makes more sense than the technically correct singular collective "You fail at Mathematic/Mathematical".
