I have voter registration certificates for me and my brother in my desk here... Several ones actually, some are expired from previous voting cycles, like the 2004 election and the 2006 general elections.

Got two nice ones here valid from 2008-2009. Good to go baby.

I don't have to. I'm already registered. It says return service requested, but this is a legitimate voter registration card for texas federal elections. I've voted with these before.

Besides... it says "You may vote without your certificate by showing another form of identification."

Did you register just recently? If so, you should be getting something in the mail saying you're registered. At least, thats what the lady at the DMV said would happen with me.
 
hmmm yeah. I registered last month, early last month at the city hall but I forgot to ask the lady at the desk. I hope i get that letter before election day, lol.
 
She told me it would only take a week or so. I'd go back and see whats up.
 
I'm not going to vote. I'm just going to keep on complaining on how everything in this country sucks and wish that there was a way to do something about it. I really wish there was a way to make a difference, but hmmm...I'm just to stubborn and selfish to actually register.

Everyone who says they're not going to vote need to grow a pair. If you don't like the way the government works, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
