Slander me if you must. But, I love all forms of metal gear solid, and I was wondering, if anyone would want to make a single player mod for it on the Source Engine, now obviously I would not base it on any of the games, It would be based in the Metal Gear universe, we'd need a very skilled story writer to start us off. And then we can work on the mod from their, I will project manage this, and I currently also have two texture CDs we could use for it. Would anyone be intrested ?

if we base it in the metal gear universe, the game wont be called metal gear whatever, the only thing the same will be that it will be based around the weapon of metal gear

You can't make a mod of another game without the makers permission. I doubt you'd get it.

See how far they get. I've seen many many mods get shut down by the original game makers.

Some people even made a Starcraft mod for Warcraft 2 back when SC has only just come out to let people who had WC2 get a bit of SC flavour (it was really quite shockingly bad, of course, only 2 races and most of the intricacies of SC got left out). Blizzard came down on them like a ton of bricks, even though the SC mod was of such poor quality and was only a stop-gap measure for those who didn't have access to SC for various reasons.

in the end i decided to go with an idea like so

i think survival horror mods are looking cool, but I was thinking on creating one that would psychology scare people instead of jumpy scare, with this i mean ****ed up sound and music, sudden flashes of images, and the shining style atmosphere. once again im just throwing ideas around but it would be cool to see some really ****ed up game instead of ohhh noes zombies
