Strider cloaking ability

I dunno if any of u noticed it, but in the E3 2004 HL2 video, during the strider fight, when the 3rd strider came in, it looked like it was cloaked.

I dont think it is... If you look at the slightly higher quality and higher contrast gamespot vids you can see the strider just fine

That's not cloaked, that's just what happens when they fire that beam.

They look just normal after they have finished firing. Their demension warp cannon or whatever viewed from the front makes them look weird.

Thats the point of striders, they are thin and skinny and its hard to see one from a distance when one is standing infront of a building.

Yes that is the point, and that is why this guy thinks the striders can cloak.

It's not cloaked. If you look carefully, you can make out a leg. It's not clear because there is smoke and also the image is distorted by the Striders weapon firing. The image gets sucked into the middle so it kinda covers up the Strider behind it.

Wait, guys nevermind, its just that the strider on the left went back a bit and it was hard to see him, so for me it looked like he went uncloaked.
