They are all solid, not to crowded and represent the game very good, and also stand out of the crowed.
I have to say the worst cover I have seen that I can remember is the HL2 game of the year edition.

The HL2 cover is cool but there is just one male face, sometimes may look like a gay-pron magazine or something haha ;D

I liked it, like I said it looked slick, the color sheme was really good, it wasn't one overly used, it was subtle, really adds to the image and it just stands out of the crowd.

ugh looking at some of these covers I'm reminded just how juvenile video games are ..I like the Grim Fandango cover ..but some of the others are a little embarrassing

compare them to movie posters/box art ...our industry needs to grow up a bit

HA! I remember seeing art like this on the covers of the old console games (Intellivision, Atari2600). I don't think I ever really thought about it - just slapped the cartridge in and played. Some of the graphics weren't much better either.

edit - Mystery of the Druids reminded me of the "Druid" theme that Spinal Tap went through. Hilarious!
