i only recently found out that the gunship could shoot beams like the strider. ITS AWESOME. for those headcrab or scanner noobs who don't know bout this here is a cool video. (the video is totally screwed in terms of speed cos i dont know how to record so sorry)

FYI, I'm a manhack noob! Second, I'd heard about that but never seen it. Looks pretty cool but I'm guessing Valve gave up on using it in game.

I remember when we first stumbled across the gunship beam, it was pretty exciting. It is actually used at one point in HL2, if you are the correct place on the highway 17 battle. (Just like how the gunship doesn't explode but ploughs down the road sometimes) Very few people get to see it though.
