Yes, I've had my computer for 3 years and I've still not got round to sorting out why this is messed up...

I've got an Asus A7N8X-X mobo and it definitely has 4 USB 2.0 ports - every website I've looked at says so.

However, everytime I plug in a USB 2.0 device (pen drives, cameras, etc.) it says "u noob stick it in a faster port".

I've got Windows XP service pack 2, I've tried updating my mobo drivers (however I've not flashed the bios as I don't think this would work - by all means prove me wrong).

I've tried everything and still the ports appear in the device manager as "standard" USB ports.

I want to be fast and cool like all the awesome kids! Please HELP ME!!!!! xxx

Do you have USB 2.0 enabled in bios? Are you talking about the USB ports on the back of the board? Tried different combinations for where the devices are plugged in? Maybe one of them is limited the other. idk

They probably won't end up saying USB 2.0 in device manager. Mine don't. If it listed a speed then it would either say Low Speed, Full Speed or Hi-Speed.
