no it's from a Valve private party ..most likely the launch for the orange box ..it's not fake, you can see valve emplyees in some of the pics

and no they dont use giant switches to turn on the games on launch day
 
That'd be a pretty awesome way to launch a game.
 
Erik, Doug, Kim and Gabe on several of the photos, it's legit as they come. Very funny little contraption they've put together there using Garry's mod, the analogy of Gabe pressing the red button has become a very real part of the launch. Good on 'em!

Yes, it's real. Sluggoman and Crashworks are Valve employees and they have some interesting photos on Flickr. This one with Gabe is best.

builds suspense up to the final day where the switch is thrown


then a power outage happens and then the launch is delayed because a city wide blackout which last 3 days. all gamers around the world perish and spam the forums with rants and complaints; then start filling the forum with LOL cats to pass the time until the game is finally launched. even then we might still have a chance of beating the forums most users online record.

Holy hell awesome find Stern! It's the first time we have seen Valve act like normal people apart from an interview video. I want the Dharma shirt that the guy with a tad too many drinks had. :laugh: We just need to add a L4D screen to the monitor now lol. Also lol at the pirate Gabe.
