I cant be sure, but to me it seems like it could be refering to Gordon's life, a half-life you could say, as in he doesnt really lead a full one. He is not in control of his own destiny. Rather, G-Man, in an Iago-like fashion, uses Gordon for his own means. This presents an interesting view on what free will is, how it can be judged and what is the importance of it. Also, if this is the case, it would support a theory of Aftermath's GMan angry quote which has lead some to speculate Gordon some how disobeys GMan, or does somethig Gman does not expect/want. What do you all think?
