It was funny the first time they did it, but after the second time it just gets plain stupid and boring because you know to expect it.

I don't visit 4chan often. The first time I went to /b/ the first thing I saw was a man's penis cut in two. The few times I've visited the place after that I have had similiar experiences. So I'm hardly what you would call an expect on the subject of 4chan.

However, I do think I'm justified when saying this: 99% of /b/ is utter shit. The rest 1% may be gold, but it doesn't matter. Even if that 1% is the best things you've ever seen, it still doesn't make the phrase "4chan sucks" wrong, because 1% of a content doesn't affect the status of the whole website.

The reason people in the Image Dumps laugh at pictures that might come from 4chan and at the same time says "4chan sucks" is becuase here they don't need to filter through all the 99% of 4chan that is crap. They can enjoy the 1% that is actually good.

The statements "I love 1% of 4chan" and "4chan sucks" are not at odds with eachother.

I remember when it was 4chan dot NET. I have been on there that long. I have been on there since Moot was just some guy trying to drum up interest for an English 2chan on Something Awful's ADTRW, back when I first protected myself by investing in some stairs.

Also you just have to know which boards to go to. /b/ was always shit (which is why we loved it), but if you're not looking to be shat on you might want to try the interest boards. They're generally good places to go.
