Why do the combine kill everyone?

Why at the start of Half Life 2,the Combine Kill everyone at the apartments?Cause the people are Prisoners or Something?

It was because there was a miscount in their sector caused by you. Gordon is an illegal citizen unregistered on the Combine database so when you were seen it flagged the security which proceeded in killing all the citizens.

Perhaps you are correct, but I think this thread is fine where it is. I've seen so many other threads that belong in the Half-Life Story & Mythology section stay in here; and after all, he is a new member. He's just beginning to understand the rules; we all make mistakes, including myself. I gave him a couple of tips in his user profile to help him out a bit.

I think this forum is more like talking economy, development, and news about the Half Life series.

The reason you're getting the rookie treatment is because you're acting like one.

I assure you that you're not being called an idiot because you posted on the wrong section or whatever, but you're being called an idiots because of all the threads you're making that have already existed 5 years ago

I suggest you know more about the game Half Life before making anymore new threads. Make sure you have played every single half life game and have done some research yourself, because some of your ideas and questions (like this thread) have not only been answered in the game, but countless other sites as well.

Bottomline is, try not to charge into a forum and type away like you're the first person to think of anything.

Have you tried paying attention whilst playing? The answers to a lot of these questions you're asking are obvious to anyone playing the game.

Yeah they did, but at the point where the man block the door to roof so you could escape they took out the USP and started unloading. Probably the only casualty in the escape.

IMO, we should make two separate sub-forums. One is for Half Life 2 discussion, other one is for all the other things. And you must make separate accounts for them. So people that won't like to talk about HL2 would keep out from here.

aaannyway for also being somewhat new to the forums, i can say that I have always thought about this question. am i right in that all the other enemies the Combine have faced had assimilated into the fold?? Well my theory is that the GMAN has stopped worlds (in the other parallel universe) from falling under the Combine we haven't heard of and once they saw similarities in Gordon, they got scared, or just played it safe.

also i can be completely wrong but this is what i believe to be true. that and the Combine may have a prophet and Gordon keeps popping up in that vision...
