I believe in the original script Eli committed suicide by performing some experiment. Maybe this would suck, but I could see Mossman intentionally taking the bullet or whatever to save Eli (or whoever) as a final "character redemption".

Eli never committed suicide, that was merely idiots who read the script and saw the line "Eli has already made his choice...he has decided to be one of the very last humans to die. I wouldn't be suprised if Eli looked upon his suicide as an act of honour." - Breen.

Well, as for Grigori, I mean look at him. He's a fairly old man, he might run out of ammo soon, or perhaps his traps will one day fail and the zombies will send him to his demise.

I believe father gregory is alive, else they wouldnt have made him so mad and sinister... the end of ravenholm is obviously a lose end, in which valve as usuall want us to speculate and dwelve in disbelief: I Think he'll save gordon sometime, or shoot a badie in the back or something with a twist... "when you think all is lost, do not fear! Father gregory is here!" something like that.

If he died at ravenholm id be deeply saddend, it would be a huge anticlimax... I mean he should ATLEAST blow something huge up in his death, or kill a legion of zombies or something....

Well, theologically, Barney is dead, considering how many times he died and came back alive in HL1. I never see him dieing, he is just one of those guys that die and come back, or he always dodges death. Same thing for Kliener, he got annyoing in HL1, so I killed him.

I say Breen or the Father, assuming the Father isn't already dead.

I voted for Alyx. I don't actually think that she will die, but I'd like her too. She threatens to ruin Half-Life for me--she's too cliche and is only there to hook desperate guy-gamers. I at least want to the option to leave her behind somewhere so I never see her again. She's the only thing I don't like about Half-Life2.
