What complete and utter crap
You could spend double that and still have a pc which lacks the power of a 360.
No mate, check out the prices on the net, not utter crap at all.

To keep up with pc gaming, to play with decent settings at a good frame rate, you have to upgrade every two or three years (often more frequently), each time spending more than the price of a new console. I'd say it's cheaper to buy each console of any given generation than to keep up with the hardware the latest pc games demand.
And before someone says, 'well i'm still gaming on a P3', that's fair enough, but it completely negates the 'pc games will look better in a year' argument.
You're right about mods - not that that bothers me, there are so many good games around these days that I don't have time for mods. Updates and patches can also now be delivered to consoles (see Xbox Live). Unlike the pc, this is rarely needed. Console games aren't nearly as 'glitchy' and don't suffer from the 'critical problems' that quite often plague pc releases.
Keep trying to convince yourself![]()
Sure, but at a price. Technology also doesn't equal better games.
Each time it 'evolves' you need to open your wallet again. And what does that get you - 90% of the time exactly the same games from the limited no. of genre that you were playing before.
Games on the 360/PS3 will also look considerably better in a year or two - just as with every console, developers learn to get more out of the hardware over time. First generation games always look quite poor compared to the 2nd and 3rd. If anything, I noticed more of an improvement between the first and last games on the N64 and PSX than with the new gfx card for my pc.
They can run a little warm, as can any hardware. Mine has never crashed, and certainly not as often as your average pc.
I'm not saying consoles are better btw, I just felt the need to replay to your :rolling: post.
Nope. MS made the decision not to allow the use of a mouse for gaming on the 360 and are sticking with it.
It really isn't so bad using a pad. Infact, some fps (usually slower paced ones) work better than with a mouse and keybaord.
Seriously, this feels like betrayal. BETRAYAL I TELLS YOU. *punts barrel at Valve*
Horrible lighting engine, repetative level design, uninspired weaponry, cliched cliffhanger ending... the list goes on, and on, and on...

Tis only on a graphics card and processor mind you...
Maybe. I'd still rate the gpu in a 360 over a x1900xt. It will also last a good time longer.
Horrible lighting engine...
Also listen to me carefully, The real reason why EP2 is delayed is because of the stupid consoles (even though it was typical of Valve to delay it) They are working to get them all out once at the same time & at the same platforms.
On a Celeron/Pentium III hybrid with a GeForce 4? I'd like to see you do better.
I remember buying Perfect Dark for the N64 for like €90, that was insane.
Believe it or not people actually have ways to cheat in Halo. There is one thing you can do that will lag the crap out of everyone else playing.for me
consoles
+ no hacking
WTF? I've experienced many many bugs in console games, and there are no patches!+ no bugs
I assume you mean upgrading the system but I will say that a map pack was released for Halo 2.+ no upgrading
Don't they cost the same as PC games?+ price
What the hell are you talking about? Not only do many consoles offer online mulitplayer but you can play a game against someone else who's in the same room without having to have 2 consoles and 2 copies of the game.- can't do multiplayer
Not really anything I can say.- controls
What? Explain to me how Silent Hill (to name just one console game) was child orientated.- child orientated
Bungie has released a patch for Halo 2 over Xbox Live that stopped the dummy glitch, greatly reduced the pistol's power, etc. Console games are just a bit harder to patch than PC games.WTF? I've experienced many many bugs in console games, and there are no patches!
PC games are cheaper than console games but the consoles themselves are cheaper than PCs (also there is the cost for upgrading frequently if you want to have a high end PC).Don't they cost the same as PC games?

I don't know what you're talking about. I trust playing on Xbox Live about 100x more than the ****in internet on a PC.Mmmm. I still don't trust console online networks. Not sure why... Inherent distrust, i guess.
