I checked the search button and went through like the first 6 pages out of who knows how many...

What are your opinion's on Alyx and Gordon's relationship. Before i get massacred by... some of you who feel the need to critisize what i say (you know who you are) i do not mean any lovey crap. I'm asking you for your opinion because i'm curious, like how do you think it'll develope.

Also if you find the need to yell out 'use the search button', i will put this next sentence in a way your puny brain will understand

They'll probably end up still flirting with each other (well Gordon giving her suggestive nods, and Alyx doing what she does) until episode 5000. I don't think Valve will do anything with either of them for a long time. They open their stories slowly for some reason.. I hate that about Valve.

Off-topic: For some reason I keep spelling Valve 'Valva' lol.

I thought it was funny..
 
I think one day, once the Combine are gone, Gordon will become a plumber. For some odd reason, Gman will begin wearing a turtle-like shell and will randomly kidnap Alyx. Gordon will repeatedly save her, possibly going to castles.

Seriously though, doubt anything will happen. Alyx will continue flirting, and Gordon will continue thinking "oh no a girl" in his moderately nerdy MIT way. That's the way I see it at least. Now I'm waiting for the day Barney really starts to hit on her. It'll happen one day, I swear.
 
If anything were to happen it would happen in the time between games simply because Gordon doesn't talk.

For example:

Episode 3 - Freeman is freed from the GMan's control, towards the end there is a one-sided moment of emotional intimacy from Alyx. This may or may not be followed by a long separation against Alyx's wishes (Gordon is forced into Xen/Combine Homeworld/Whatever).

Half-Life 3 - Set 10 years later, Gordon and Alyx are married and have a few kids. A new crisis emerges.

On the other hand the series could just end when Gordon and Alyx get together.
 
Alyx will die and Gordan will fall into eternal PAIN and AGONY, cuz that's just like how love is :arms:

Actually, that thought (although disturbing) was pretty hilarious.

As for relationship development...doubt it will go anywhere. I think the people down at Valve have never had sex with women before so they don't understand how to write relationships. XD
 
I have no idea how it will go, I have a feeling they will hit a dead end in terms of design prospects on how far they progress this relationship expansion, they will do what is best.

I think their relationship certainly isn't going to go nowhere.. I'll be really curious as to how Alyx changes after, ya know, watching her dad's brains get sucked out. Eli's death leaves Gordon as the only person she's particularly close with. I don't think they're going to like hook up officially or whatever (yet) lol but I bet the game will at least show them progress from the usual goofy nerd flirting to being "very concerned for the other's well being" aww lolol
 
I've said it before: Gordon cannot be forced to recipricate Alyx's feelings. From the first game Valve have made it so that you see through Gordon's eyes and think his thoughts. Forcing the player into any kind of intamacy with Alyx pretty much destroys a mechanic that has been important for the entire series.
 
After planting explosives on the Borealis, Alyx and Gordon will have to swim to shore. Wet and cold, they will find a cabin. They'll start a fire and Alyx will go into a bed room to get her wet clothes off. She'll be talking non stop about how great Gordon is and how she can never repay him for all his done, what a great team they make, how the suppression device kept her from experiencing any feelings for men till now blah blah blah. Then her tone will soften and she'll say "I want to give you something Gordon...........come here." You'll then hear the voice from the HEV suit say " Erection detected. Administering Barry White music." Then Gordon begins to open the door. Just as you can make out a naked leg and arm on the bed the screen will freeze and G-man's face will appear. "Horny? Misssster Freeman."
 
Seeing as they've come this far with character development and a continuous building of an Alyx-Gordon relationship, it wouldn't make sense with the rest of the series if it didn't grow in some fashion. Do I think it will summit in Ep3? Probably not drastically. They'd have to make room for some development in HL3 (that is, assuming she survives episode 3). Not necessarily romantically, although that looks like the direction Valve is pointing.

Btw, I must say that the closed thread somewhat similar to this, "Alyx Lovin'" was one of the funnier threads I've read in my personal internet history.

I actually saw that one in my journey through the search button, and i looked inside, looked through about 3 posts, and then left...

Actually, if you read farther in it's a lollercaust. I nearly pissed myself I was laughing so hard. I got my avatar from that thread.

I must question why everyone assumes a Half Life 3 will come out, I mean the episodic content essentially is HL3. The reason they're doing Episodes is so people to run away to other games completely in the meantime between games since it was what, 6 years between HL1 and HL2? Can someone support the assumption of a HL3?
 
I actually agree that the episodes are HL3 split up, but i guess that Half-Life 4 doesn't sound as good as Half-Life 3

Yes, I'm aware it doesn't say specifically "Half Life 3." Or 4, or whatever you want to call it. But as far as what I've read, there will be more Half Life after episode 3.
 
Yes!!there is yet hope!but anyway, valve did say thats eps 1 2 and 3 are half life 3, but they probably will make another HL game and name it HL3.plus, im betting that, lik for HL1, there will be addons, like fighting through barneys eyes again or they might even let us play as a combine.
 
Well I personally think it's silly to consider the episodes as "Half Life 3" since it's still the same story arc. I'd say it's more accurate to identify them as "Half Life 2: Part 2."
