Is there a specific reason why all the zombies wear white jackets when no one really wears white jackets in the game? I'm not complaining or anything, just wondering if there's a real reason for that or if it's just for the sake of their original look.

I think they are actually the white sweaters some civilians wear, torn down the middle.

It's just the standard civilian uniform, minus the jacket. I guess zombies don't like jackets.

What I've always wondered, is why are all the zombies white? The only time you see a black zombie is at the beginning, right before you get the airboat. Some black guy's running around trying to get a headcrab off his head, then dies.

Oh well.

and you're right, there are no black zombies! maybe the headcrabs are afraid of getting sued

It's because the civilians used to wear white suits in the early versions of the game (watch the bink videos)

its because the first zombies were black mesa scientists (white coats), and Valve decided to stick ith it, to get the same look.

I've seen at least one civilian wearing a white shirt before. At the very beginning of highway 17, manning one of the gun on the dock where the buggy is lowered off.

because valve was too lazy to make a bunch of different skins for the zombies, that's why. there is no significance behind it...

Maybe its cuz they were bums and tramps and thats all they had. It was rumoured that bums were banished and tramps also to suburb areas and thats where alot of headcrabs were so they got attck and were like aahh and they crabs were like ;( and the bums were like "got my rum" :cheers:
