Scientists may now be able to clone a Neanderthal

I have taken a few anthropology courses and from what I understand homo sapians and neanderthals would be able to breed AND produce fertile off-spring. Brain wise they are likely to be more or less the same when it comes to intellect, speech wise they were probably just as capable as we are...

    Ghosting problems

I bought a new 19" Monitor with a 4ms response time This one to be exact: http://reviews.cnet.com/Samsung_SyncMaster_960BF_White_19_LCD_Monitor/4505-3174_7-31578611.html?tag=sub Now everyone is telling me that anything below an 8ms response time will result in it being almost impossible to...

    WoWs downfall?

Downfall? Don't make me laugh, people have been saying just about every decision Blizzard has made would lead to World of Warcrafts downfall. Honor system? Downfall. Dishonorable kills? Downfall. Too much raid content released in 1 year? Downfall. Battlegrounds? Downfall. Yet as we all...

PS3 Early Adopters Are Probably ****ed

I really wonder if Sony goes through with this what developers will think. My guess is many will just give up working with Sony or only focus on making games for the original first edition of the PS3 and essentially make any new ones somewhat useless.

    National Security VS Personal Liberties

National security always. Without national security the benefits of personal freedom will no longer exist. However, that does not mean putting all enphasis on security. You only put as much emphasis on it as is needed. In US history there has never really been a time where national security...

    Invisibility cloak er... "shield"

At first yes, but if it does work out then I can absolutely guarantee it will make it's way to consumer products. Or at least into non-military commercial applications. The only thing that would need to happen is for it to become cheap enough to be viable for non-military applications...

Poll of Parents reveals: Tv good, video games bad

Funny thing is I can almost guarantee a poll from 30-40 years ago would have returned results stating that "TV mostly hurts children". Once the generation of video game players is in charge this will all reverse.

Pit bulls to be extinct or destroyed, what's new?

The idea of specific dog species going extinct is not very unusual. It has been happening for centuries due to the unusual relationship we have with dogs and our selective breeding desires for them. Many dog species that existed centuries ago are now totally extinct today. Mind you there were...

I still am required to pay extra for PSP features, besides everything gets complicated with the PSP firmware problems.

    PSP or DS?

First of all the PSP browser sucks and I absolutely love Opera, I use it over Firefox most of the time. Also this is a seperate purchase that I don't at all need to pay for. The PSP on the other hand i don't have any choice whatsoever.

Sony plays the old Blue-ray switcheroo game

HDDVD is significanly cheaper than Blu-ray. I think that is going to be what will cause it to win. If either of these new formats can in fact actually "win" and start to replace regular DVD's.
