Animated texture on a model - is this possible?

Hey, as the title says; is it possible to put an animated texture on a player model? What I have in mind is a small revolving fan texture on my model's helmet, and was wondering if there was any way to get it to work? I've searched the forums but can't find anything about player models.

Have you actually tried it? I've not seen anything that suggest it's not possible.

I wouldn't even know where to start im afraid, but I asked my housemate who is the model builder for one of the popular non-valve HL2 mods and he said he really wasn't sure it was possible. Thanks though, i'll go read up on it and give it a try.

sure its possible. the same as an animated texture for use in hammer.
