Best Weapons in HL2:DM

Which of these guns are the best? Pulse Rifle (including secondary fire) , Revolver, Rocket Launcher, or Gravity Gun?

Best as in efficiency is probably the .357 (revolver), but i personally like runnin into a crouded room with the pulse rifle with secondary fire and letting those bounce around killing half or more people.

The best gun is the Magnum, because its far too good. My favourite though is the Manipulator.

I agree completely. I love using the pulse rifle secondary fire, but the .357 is harder to dodge... also you can hold more ammo. But with the pulse rifle you can kill multiple people. The rocket launcher is also good for lots of people, but you hurt yourself. And the gravity gun is a lot of fun, but too many people are too experienced defenders against that.

Yeah, the gravity gun can be pretty intense-- especially with explosive barrels, and catapulting yourself with cars.

lol, i had that problem too... that's why I chose these weapons.

Wow, I'm surprised on how unpopular the Rocket Launcher is... I always thought it was a lot of fun, especially on dm_overwatch ... sitting up top, making sure no one gets the revolver... great stuff.

i'm not a great shot, so i prefer the shotgun for close/medium range. raising hell at a distance, nothing beats the blast from a rocket.
oh, and i play a lot of TFC so i'm comfortable with the rocket launcher and shotgun.

Just a tip, but if your not a great shot, the pulse rifle is good. It hurts a lot, and the secondary is great.

Yes, the revolver certainly seems to be pretty popular... maybe it has something to do with perfect accuracy and VERY high damage... just a guess.

i think grav gun is best. one hit kill, infinate ammo, and it actually takes some skill to use :|

Well, not always 1 hit kill... and the amma is limited to the number of objects in the room... but it certainly does take skill to use (or at least use effectively).
