Sony have decided to begin officially selling the PlayStation 2 in Brazil.

It's priced at R$799, which works out to be around USD$465. So, yes, it's expensive to buy video games in Brazil.

Also there's a city about 5 hours from here, on the border with Brazil, where you can probably find most electronic goods before they're officially released anywhere.

well i all ready did the noble thing and sold my friend from work my ps2 for $50 with 4 games, controllers, multitaps you name it. he has little brothers and cousins and it was ideal plus mine was collecting dust and i have the 60GB PS3 which does PS2 games too

but yeah i feel like giving more this christmas
