gordon't helmet solution, based on RTB

well, i was reading through RTB, when i saw these:

one of mr.friendly's proposed attacks was to pound the ground and knock the player's weapon out of his hands/ it was even suggested that gordon's glasses flyoff and leave the player stuck in combat with blurry vision.

...until suddenly he felt tiny needles biting into his ear,....... she just gave you an adernaline injection...said alyx...

wow, even though i strongly believe that gordon should be wearing a helmet, but these tell something else.
conclusion: based on RTB, a very trusted source, there hasn't even been an idea of gordon wearing a helmet, which is why you don't see one with the suit.
if you just consider the fact, he doesn't wear a helmet.

PS:
My theory however was that he has a place for a hood, which he puts on or removes it, based on different situations, but again, this is just a theory, based on the HEV's suit guide which mentions the suit having a hood.
the fact that we have till now is that he doesn't wear a helmet.

these stories are what the HL world is based on, they are the ideas, if there hasn't been even an idea of a helmet, how could it survive?
i myself was one of those who thought he should be wearing a helmet, but now i don't.

please think riomhaire, if you were about to get a blurry vision after you had your glasses knocked off, and you were wearing a helmet, it would obviously fall into the helmet, you wouldn't mind getting the helmet off and putting on your glasses again now would you?
if you weren't wearing a helmet, the glasses would fall, possibly steped on, obvoiusly broken, leaving you with a blurry vision...
look at the concept arts, they all have gordon wearing only glasses... never a helmet.

He's not got a helmet in third person, but he DOES have a ponytail.

And it's not the citadel, it's the rocket test chamber.

gordon's beard eventually turned into a stylish goatee, while his glasses also went through several versions. for a time, he even sported a ponytail.

Man...eeryone who claims the helmet because he can't survive gunshots to the head otherwise...it's a game! The HUD? Every game has that! Ever play Max Payne or Call of Duty? These guys don't wear masks over there faces yet you see charts and numbers telling you how you're doing and survive gunshot wounds to the head because it's easier that way!

And Barney always had the armor in all the games. He just can't recharge!

It does, "Blood oxygen levels decreasing". It says that right?
But I think that the AUX power is used to separate the hydrogen and oxygen in water like gills. As a matter of intrest, there was an oxygen tank model in HL1 that was never used. I assume it works similar to the long-jump model which makes me wonder how many plug-ins the HEV suit had.

Think about this though... In Half-Life 1, in Xen, there are dead humans wearing HEV suits all over, and they have helmets! Therefore, I think that Gordon has a helmet, but since he's so sexxy, he only wears it when there are headcrabs around.

Or, ponder this... On all the zombies, when you blow the crabs of and leave the corpse, they all have tooth marks around their upper chest on on their backs... Where on the HEV suit you can clearly see armoured plates, so maybe the headcrabs need to sink their claws into a neck/back to fully control a human, and since they can't penetrate the armor, Gordon is immune.

It seems to me Gordon does'nt need the helmet thats on most of the H.E.V suits. He probably used it in Xen when he was on the borderworld in HL1 if you wanna get technical...but he might not have needed it there if you take into consideration that vortigaunts can exist in our enviroment..as for the barnicals that grab you with their tounges gordons H.E.V suit has been redesigned by dr. Kliener right? hes got like a 4 inch piece of some kind of H.E.V suit looking like a turtle neck that protects him from being killed...also the headcrabs..they have to stick those probe/arm things into your neck/shoulder.. with the MARK 5 SUIT it would be hard to do
