Shens :naughty:

Sweet shens!

That's shensiful!

They over shened it on the bloom of course but oh shens, still looks nice shens shens shens.

Wow. Cant wait to play. Loved the 360 version.

Looks awesome. Shame it looks like crap now without the physics card to make nice explosions :P

That bloom stuff looks stupid. That's a further stretch away from RL than bad graphics.

looks good, but the first pic looks a bit "overbloomified" as some one ells said. I mean...in real life...it will not look like that! This HDR/Bloom/ultra whateva lightning thing is being so important these days that they OVERLOAD it so it looks un-realistic.

Seriously, all of these developers need to take a look outside. Only a very small fraction of the surfaces are reflective enough to require blooming even on the sunniest of days. Those screenshots look more like what I get when I only put one contact in... either that or the soldier smeared some vaseline all over his visor.

all I can say is, I m buying this game, and I m going to enjoy it. :D

That's what I said about Doom 3!

I'm sure that bloomified screenshot is HDR and therefor will only last for about a second,

It could be their "colors of war" post-processing. I think how it works is, when the fighting starts, the warm colors become oversaturated, the HDR contrast increases, and the bloom... well, blooms. It's supposed to subconsciously make the battle seem more intense.

The bloom looks GREAT ingame. Love it!

Then you haven't really played the 360 vers, it will probably look almost exactly like that when playing, but I am assuming since this is a PC game, you'll be given the option to turn HDR and/or Bloom off.:)
The HDR/Bloom in the 360 vers looked pretty darn good tho, not too unrealistic at all, and it looks like they're using the same engine for the PC GR3.. Or atleast the same 3D models.:)
Can't wait for this tho, the 360 version was great although arcadey, hopefully this PC vers will remind me alot of good ol' GR1+expansions <3

Actually you can see bloom like that in RL if you get up early enough.
Right now there's bloom on my refridgerator. :P

I notice a lot of bloom and HDR type stuff in real life... Like last week i was on the 360 in my mates house, and the sun was shining on the road just before dusk, and this white van type lorry thing drove past pretty quickly and it reflected like bloom. Was awesome :P

You guys have to remember that not all these next-gen games are aiming at realistic lighting. They are merely adding a look to their game. Its just like movies, not all movies have the same lighting. Sure a lot look alike, but then you get those movies like the Matrix (tinted green), Minority Report (blue-ish tone), Man on Fire (looks crazy) etc..

Not that I am defending the bloom in this game, but I'm just pointing that out to the few jokers who posted above.

Argh, they should de-bloomify the first screenshot, waste of good frames per second.

aww, i thought it read "GWAR PC Screens"

normal_Gwar.jpg

i'd buy that game

if it's anything like the xbox version I'll pass ..hopefully there'll be a demo

Gwar = greatest band of all time

Jeeze, some of you are acting like HDR abused your mother and kills small puppies in its spare time.

The problem is they put bloom/HDR on so many textures that don't require it.

The only colour that should look over-bright is white or reflective surfaces.

Metallic bodies (i.e. cars) should not look bright all over, but on a central area where the reflection of the sun is most prominant, a dramatic contrast should be identified by the naked eye. I couldn't find an example on the internet, but look out at one that the sun is reflecting off and you will know what I mean.

With bloom, the only thing that they have done is make a game that looks like it was filmed for cinema in the 1970's, cinema these days have better clarity

This isn't like HDR from Lost Coast. I've seen people playing the 360 version. It looks like that the whole damn time.

Yes it does support PhysX, but to what extent we do not know yet.:)

It looks gorgeous on the 360. Maybe not for everyone, but i'm a fan.

play the xbox version ..the sub-par gameplay (gameplay almost identical to every other GR game) is really apparant when you dont have the 360's pretty graphics to keep you preoccupied ...sorely disappointed ..hopefully the pc version will be better

CptStern.. You are aware that the XB1 version is totally different from the 360 version?
So I'm not hoping that you're judging the 360 vers just from the XB1 vers, if you are, I'm afraid that... You're going to DIE!

I wasn't a fan of the xbox version, but am enjoying it a good deal on the 360 (mainly online). Different games.

well considering that I dont have a 360 (which explains why I played the xbox version) I wouldnt know whether it's the same game or not ...what's the difference? the reviews sound identical except for the obvious graphical differences

Err, go read the GameSpot reviews of the XB1 and 360 vers.. You'll notice that it lists numerous differences..:)

I quote.

"Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the Xbox continues the disturbing trend of releasing games on different platforms that have the same name but offer vastly different gaming experiences. If you were wondering if Advanced Warfighter for the Xbox might offer something similar to the superb tactical shooter of the same name on the Xbox 360, you can stop wondering now. It doesn't, and it's not even close. GRAW for the Xbox is the perfect example of what happens when you try to cram too much game into a system that clearly can't handle it. The graphics are only OK, even for an Xbox game, and compromises in the gameplay design hamper the experience, making GRAW feel like just another military-themed shooter."

...errr so what are those differences gamespot?

it says absolutely nothing, anyone want to give me a run down? perferably someone who's played both

Oh, you've seen people play it? I have the game. The HDR is fine (and bloody gorgeous to boot).

It's night and day. The Xbox is locked in first person, the framerate is unstable, the textures are muddy beyond belief, the poly counts are low, the cross-com is practically non-functional (you can only see from the perspective of one of your team) and I imagine the multiplayer isn't a patch on the 360.
