Should I buy Halflife2 ep.1 or Hitman:Bloodmoney?

Obviously enough for either... I don't see the relevancy of money here, unless of course he could afford both, but he obviously doesn't want to.

I'd say Episode 1.
 
Both are great games, or atleast Hitman is, not tryed Episode 1 yet but what else can we expect but pure perfection?
I'd buy Episode 1 now since it's not too expensive and go for Hitman later. There are some major bugs in the game and by the time you've saved some money I'm sure there is a patch that fixes all the performance issues people got.

Yes but Ep1 will only be a small game where Hitman with be a full size game.

I would go Ep1 only because i don't realy like hitman, but if i was you i would go hitman for more game play.
 
As much as I love the HL series, I think you should get Hitman, because its non-linearity offers nearly endless replayability. Episode 1 you can get later, and is a relatively short game, Hitman Blood Money is a full size game.

(im getting both tho woot)
 
Hitman is cool but i never got into it. Ep 1 for me.
 
Not to sound glib or irresponsible, but given certain realities of the internet why are we even having this conversation?
 
Get Ep. 1 and then get the Bloodmoney Demo. :D

If the demo is representitive of the full retail package, I hope the game flops. The demo was just terribly linear and boring.

Ooo dont know about that. Hitman 1 and 3 were extremely short.

Oh yeah.

If Hitman:Bloodmoney is anything like Hitman 2 though, then i'd buy Bloodmoney first. Hitman 2 was surprisingly wicked. But i've heard mixed reactions to the full game so far.
 
Hitman costs a lot more than Ep1 (which you must buy eventually as a HL fan). So go for Ep1, then save up for Hitman.
 
I love Half life 2 Ep.1. Source engine rules and not to mention source engine make a great zombie films and games where you can use explosion to make zombie fly to the sky.
 
Buy EP1 and "aquire in a legal way" Hitman. :upstare:
 
I hav't bought a game in a looong time. Half life 2 was a gift. So heck, Ill buy them both. But if i had to choose wich one to get first... Id go with hitman. Much more gameplay. Or even endless!
 
I've been playing Hitman 3....it's a blast! Right now I'm on what appears to be the last mission - just eliminated the first target and discovered there's bullet proof glass between me and the second target . . . dang it!

The demo was a training mission, they told you exactly what to do so you could get a feel for the controls and the flow of the game. In the real game there are almost endless ways you can get through a mission, if you don't believe me play Hitman 2 Silent Assasin, which you can pick up for about 10 bucks now.

More playtime... and oh so violent, which I'm sure you kids just can't get enough of these days.

But, pick up Episode 1 eventually, I mean come on... $20? :|

Hitman is a full game that is quite long in terms of game length. Not to mention the gameplay is outstandingly good and non-linear. But both are good games except hitman is longer
 
Let me make this simple - Episode 1 Episode 1 Episode 1!

Save up and buy Hitman later, after the reviews are out.
 
Hitman, much more playtime to keep you occupied while you get $20 for Episode 1. I've played Hitman at least 10 hours already and I can't get enough. You get Episode 1 and your $20 will be up in 4-6 hours.

The demo is NOT, I repeat NOT a good representation of the full game. All it's there for is to give you a sense of what actions you can actually take in the real levels because in the real levels there are only icons on your map that are "points of interest" (which are less and less frequent as you go on in the game) and there are no step-by-step instructions. YOU figure out how you want to pull off the plan.
