Not best films of the decade.
But best trilogy of the decade I would certainly agree.
Matrix - blew
Star Wars Ep1-3 - ok
Are we talking about 90s decade or 1996-2006?? Cause 00 hasnt been a decade yet...
Come to think of it, I think Donnie Darko is my favorite film of the decade. Perhaps even the best.
Lord of the Rings .... best film of the decade? Are you ****ing kidding me?
Most popular maybe - but far, far from the best. The movies weren't even particularly good, which was compounded by the ridiculous level of hype.
What are you trying to say, son?

The LOTR movies are some of my favorite.
The individual, real trailers for the movies are also spectacular and I keep them just for the sheer awesomeness.
Now to watch this trailer.
EDIT: It was an alright trailer... however, it was too jarring from one group of scenes to the next with the music...
I stand by the original trailers for each three movies. Those are pieces of art.
I can't find them on youtube. People only have their mutilated versions up on there.
I can only find the return of the king version. They all used to be on the apple/quicktime website, but I can only access this one apparently.

They were awesome movies, but I wouldn't go so far as to call them the best of the decade... o_o
They are certainly 3 of my all-time favorite films because I love adventure. Star Wars and Indiana Jones are my other favs of all-time (trilogy-wise at least).
I've always wondered why so many movie buffs don't recognize the LOTR trilogy (taken as a whole) as a good film. I think the fact that it is so popular among teenagers and geeks tends to diminish, by association, their enthusiasm for this type of material. Deep inside, they like it, but they will deny it just to stand out from the crowd as the intellectual cinephiles they think they are.
