This is just...I don't even know. I find myself emotionally connecting with it. Half of it describes my past relationship so beautifully. Normally stuff like this gets me down and brings up bad memories, but for reasons X,Y and Z, this particular song doesn't. The spoken lyrics are just incredible and I love how the chorus just contradicts most of the song.

Loving this. Really can't get enough of bands who take a progressive rock/metal approach to fusion, or vice versa. This one's played a bit straighter and less showy than what I typically find, but it's no less intense for it. Also looking into the band they spun off from, Magma, who are apparently kind of a big deal and sound somewhat interesting.

Textures - Touching the Absolute

Listen from 3.40, stunningly epic vocals, kind of sounds like indian metal, was listening to it one night while driving home on the xpressway, felt like i was in a shuttle flying off to outer space..awesome shit

I'm currently listening to XFM's All Night Remix special. My request (Bloc Party One Vs. Alex Metric One More Chance) was the second track to be played as the show started. The show's eight hours long (10pm-6am) and there are no ad breaks! If I have to rate it I'd give it 20/10 cos all night it's going to be WICKED!

I think I'll be set for a while now. I was looking for some variety and this has me covered because a friend burned me some Dark Tranquility,Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed's latest albums :D

Been listening to this album all day, it's really grown on me recently. This song in particular has been played at least a dozen times.

I haven't heard of this. It's pretty sick.

"Better to have no singer than a bad one", I've always felt. It seems obvious, but I've always wanted to say that.

The whole album is pretty great, and can be downright soothing at times. Not having vocals at all gives the instruments a lot more room to communicate, especially with artists who are this technical.

Hey yeah cause I totally haven't posted several songs that fall under that description or anything.

Speaking of, Cloudkicker just (well, a couple months ago) released a remaster of ]]][[[, my favourite EP of his. Also renamed all the tracks from punctuation to appropriately long winded post-rock shlock. Cause if you can't have any lyrics, just shove em all in the titles. :p

I've never heard this song before, apparently it was only brought out as a demo, but I think it's great:

I still have to check out that stuff you posted by The Ocean. I remember liking it when you posted it but I forgot exactly which album that was.

I like that too, I like how it builds up. Most metal/rock doesn't know how to pace itself, it goes all-out during the entire song and at the end I'm just worn down from it.

While we're posting repetitive instrumentals, this is p. cool too:

Probably Precambrian, although I think I posted something from Heliocentric too, but that's kind of different, a bit cleaner but less complex. FYI they're all about the cookie monster vocals, but if you can deal with that it's pretty excellent.

For content, here's a song with Kevin Spacey in! (Also probably the only song on there without "actual" vocals.)

I like this band, it's cool. Their stuff sounds like it was made on a computer, but it's really good, considering that. And I like the style. Thanks for recommending it.
