when I walk instead of thinking of it as a body working together, I think of it as my my body being "carried" by my legs and the legs being held upright by shins and feet.. just a thought. I need to make a kung-fu movie where he says your legs and arms are insturments not part of you, learn them like a sidearm..

wtf?

sometimes I will walk and realize im a torso being held up my legs.. thats all it's actually fun to realize. Think of it like optimus prime your legs just repetitively move like a motor reflex almost whilst your torso and body react to it, its quite interesting to think about actually.

I'm tempted right now...tempted to say something that I KNOW will get me into trouble......must.......resist....the urge..........arghhhh

Not from me. I think like that sometimes... Guess he and me are quite the same.

You are not a torso. You are a consciousness. What you are experiencing is a certain physical objectivity, a detatchment, or ego-loss. Truthfully all your material parts exist outside of you, are seperate from you. People think that they are their body, their face, whatever,. but none of this is true. When you feel your arm, it is not actually your arm but the idea of your arm that you feel, projected outwards much like a hologram in your consciousness. It is true that there are nerves in the physical body of your arm that give you this impression, but it is not the nerves that you feel, but actually just the chemical signals that are triggered in your brain. Ultimatly, the instinctutal sense of your material self is an illusion.

Err...ummm...attach strings to your limbs? :D

the axial skeleton consists of your head, neck, spine, ribcage, sacrum, and coccyx

the appendicular skeleton is your arms, legs, and pelvis.

so in a sense, anatomists look at it the same way you do.

You know, since reading this, i find myself unable to walk normally. I keep tripping over myself now that i think about it.
