Reise, Reise

I just obtained Rammstein's new album "Reise, Reise", and it's fantastic, as expected. The language barrier is a bit more evident this time around; you can tell they're putting more emphisis on lyrics now, so all the German might be a bit off-putting on some songs. But musically, it's probably the best Rammstein have done. A lot more diverse than usual. Also, it seems Rammstein have finally realised that subtle can work just as well as skullf**king your head aurally. It's hard to pick a favourite song, but I guess the best representation of the album as a whole is the title track (Reise Reise for those not paying attention).

Oh, and the lyrics to Amerika are just hilarious to listen to. "We're all living in Amerika, Amerika, it's wunderbar! We're all living in Amerika, Coca Cola Wonderbra!"

Anyone else managed to pick it up? What do you think of it?

I haven't gotten the chance to yet.

The only two songs that I've heard are Mein Tiel and Amerika.

Good to hear that the whole album is good. I'll make time to pick it up as soon as possible.

OT: Did the CD come out today? If so I may have problems finding it in the smaller music chain stores.

Can anyone confirm this. It's quite a commute to get there (I'm in a University residence) and I wouldn't want to go all that way to find out it isn't there yet.

I think their albums are consistently brilliant, I don't know who told you they weren't but they're lieing IMO.

But I like all their songs.
