Remember no russian. (MW2 Spoiler warning)

This is the only spoiler i've watched... It's so godly. :|

The motion capture looks awesome too. D;

I wanna play now. >:l

i wish i didn't see the last 10 seconds!! but yeah badass indeed. playing games is pretty hardcore now

I wonder what he means by "remember no russian"... :/

He means for the guys to not speak any Russian through the Mission, so the people think they're from another country.

Oh, I see... :I

I wonder how it'll turn out since you're already playing an undercover guy.

@1:25
Man that guy can punch from like 10 feet away.

That video up top actually spoiled more than I had seen. The video I saw stopped after the glass elevator dropped and the guys went downstairs... crazy.

22 hours away... just 22....

I wonder what he means by "remember no russian"... :/

I originally thought he meant no Russian people shot, but considering this took place in Russia and pretty much everybody was killed, it was obvious he meant no Russian dialect

Lol @ 0:34 when one of the other terrorists takes a sly shot at him.

Looks nice, but I seem too stupid to understand why they shoot civillians. Can anyone explain it? :/

I think it was sort of in bad taste for IW to put this in, I mean it's not like you just shoot a few people and move on, you literally spend a whole 15 minute mission killing civilians.

If they really wanted to make the terrorists seem evil then they should of made you play as one of the civilians.

Looking at the whole vid, I'm guessing that you are working undercover with a bunch of Russian Ultranationlists (The same bad guys from MW), The purpose for communicating in English and shooting Russian civilians is to give false perception that these are American/British Mercenaries. I'm assuming that either the established government will declare war, but given the close ties between the Current Government and the British and American Governments, it is more likely this Government is overthrown by the Ultranationalists, backed by a supportive people who want revenge for this massacre.

I was under the impression that the Ultranationalists are in control of the area, since the airport is named after the Ultranationalist Imram(spelling?) Zakhaev, the badguy from the first MW.

And yet they still havent fixed the 3p animations on the M4 and Striker...

Lol.

I'm now thinking about getting this.

I like how no one notices five guys holding machine guns step out of an elevator for about 10 seconds. Smooth.

Quite brutal, but amazing nonetheless.

The first scene where they first gun the people down was pretty intense. After that, it lost most of its effect for me.
I really don't understand why the CIA agent would go along with it. You can't just massacre hundreds of innocent people to keep your cover :arms:

It would have been better for everyone concerned if he'd just shot the terrorists. I mean, that would have made the most sense. Gah. This bit of the story is dumb.

Eh, still don't really see the appeal.

The animations are to die for.

honestly after the terrorist attack on monbay I dont feel that nice after seeing this part

yeah I know violenece dont make you crazy and everything but is just that since that form of terrorism looks more "effective" and possible and all it wont be more "unerving" to say the least

like if you give a game like this to a afghan child that spend his whole life in the batleffield,he wont feel nice

You know the explanation is going to be a Jack Bauer one. 'Ends justify the means'.

Except there you are, a dude playing a dude pretending to be another dude. Yet despite the fact the dudes you're undercover with are planning on pinning mass murder on the dudes you really work for you go along with it. Even if the bad dudes didn't know and kill you you might still have been killed by a guard, reinforcing their ploy anyway.
Dude's retarded.

I can't help but wonder why they didn't just make the player some low-level terrorist. The ending might not be so surprising and powerful, but it gets around the slight illogic of why I shouldn't open fire on Makarov the moment I have him in my sights.

Kinda wanted it to be an American airport, just to see a greater reaction from the consumer base which would be amusing.

^^ scene's supposed to make us uncomfortable and despise the enemy and i think the stage works well on that level.

Also the CIA agent might've gone along with it with the knowledge that there are even greater things at stakes than the lives of civilians at an airport. Perhaps there's major citywide destruction to be prevented which might very well depend on him maintaining his cover.

I don't think it's bad taste at all. It's pretty pervasive and signals a maturation of videogames to being beyond just "kill bad guys." It actually stirs up emotions and a morality question that don't really get brought up in games at all.

The thing that you guys should realize is the fact that YOU are the one shooting civilians. Heck, if you didn't have control, who is to say the infiltrator might just have pretended to shoot the civilians (not too hard, considering the mayhem).
