He'll visit my town at the end of this month, and yes, I must be a worthless sycophant for even entertaining the idea of going to the bookstore to see this guy.

The truth is, I would like to see him, and maybe even say hi, but I feel some guilt for wanting to do it. My conscience tells me I should have more dignity....

What would you do if you were on my shoes?

Not go and send him an email telling him! :E

Go, he's pretty cool and witty. It's not like you are going to see tucker max.
Just don't do any BS don't admire him or hate him simply say hi.

Might as well. When's the next time you'll get a chance to see him? You'll have a hundred other days of work.

He probably won't do or say anything if you're not an idiot and he has a lot of time to write the offensive stuff he does on the internet, he may be a completly different person in real life.

There are about 20 hl2.netters i'd rather meet than this guy :/

A famous Half-Life 1 modder
My ignorance has my curiosity piqued, yet my BS detector given recent circumstance is at the ready as his "fame" surely did not arise from HL mods.

He's a tool on the internet, so why would you want to meet a tool in real life?

If you do go, just remember the rules

Rules of conduct:

This book isn't an ordinary book, and I am not an ordinary author. As such, extraordinary rules of conduct must be observed when you meet me.

1. Do not make direct eye contact with me.

2. You must adhere to the following procedure when shaking my hand:

i. Stand directly in front of me with both feet together.

ii. Extend your arm in front of you and wait for me to engage if I choose to do so.

iii. If I grant you a hand shake, you may hold my hand, pump once or twice, and then promptly let go. I will then wipe my hand with a moist towelette, and you will bow, step aside and quickly walk away.

3. You must stand at least 3 feet (1 m) apart from me at all times.

4. Do not talk directly to me. If you want to tell me something, write it down and hand it to an assistant.

5. Formal attire is encouraged (suit + tie if possible).

Go for it. Just try not to be too dissapointed when you find out he's not a real pirate.

I'd go if I were you.

He's a pretty funny guy. I heard a radio show with him, Tucker Max and another internet quasi-celebrity that I think is one of Tucker's friends and it was hilarious.

If you don't know who Tucker Max is go to www.tuckermax.com

He has all kinds of hilarious stories on there.

This is what he says about Maddox's book -

Maddox's new book, The Alphabet of Manliness

I have read this book in it's entirety (no bullshit, I have a preview copy at my house now), and let me say this again:

It is ****ing hilarious. Legitimately one of the funniest things I've ever read. It will become an instant classic.

Lol, if you put "Alphabet of Manliness" into limewire it comes up with tons of gay/animal porn. Coincident or maddox fans helping him out? I wish i knew where to get it...

*Hopes to get a pm*

I doubt you'll be able to find a PDF file to d/l just yet seeing as the book doesn't officially release until the 6th.

Didn't know that :) Thanks

The re-make of The Omen comes out on the 6th too, so does Virustype2's Doom 3 mod. Nothing special.
