the grahpics in WoW are more focused on art design than pure polygons, that in mind it could have more bells and whistles but it runs on even the lowest end machines which is very nice. I should also add that I am getting slightly bored with the game, especially with the new silithus based quests where they just want you to farm farm farm.. ZZZZzzzz

Hmmm... or maybe I see through the bullshit that is MMOs and their stupid schemes. If I wanna interact with people I'll go talk to someone IRL. But I'm not about to pay for a game that's the same as every other MMO with slight differences. And they all do the same crap when it comes to "expanding". No real new gameplay, just a couple of extra little bits. This is the main reason I hate expansions in general.

Besides, how come a game like BF2 can be done for free and an MMO can't? Admittedly there are some free ones. But still, all they have to do is figure out a way for everyone's computer that's playing to act like a part of a server and they could make them all free.

Running through the whole thing looking at it from a cost-benefit standpoint I just can;t see it. I could get a nice, long game with a great story for no more than $50.

Guild Wars had a good idea, but it seems like it had a bit of a poor execution. Hopefully someone figures out how to do it better. Maybe then I'd play MMOs.

Personally, I think WoW is so damn fun that it justifies the price, especially when you factor in battlegrounds and RP servers, but different strokes I guess.

I tried playing Guild Wars, along with a friend, and it was certainly fun for a little while, but doing the same thing over and over does get a bit boring. Admittedly, I could probably get back into it now since I haven't played for a while.
