1. Back in my day, we only needed 140 characters.

2. There used to be so much snow up here, you could strap a board to your feet and slide all the way down.

3. Televised contests gave cash prizes to whoever could store the most data in their head.

4. Well, the screens were bigger, but they only showed the movies at certain times of day.

5. We all had one, but nobody actually used it. Come to think of it, I bet my LinkedIn profile is still out there on the Web somewhere.

10. I just can't get used to this darn vat-grown steak. Texture ain't right

Only thing I can think of is how my first laptop had only 8gb of storage space.

All of these things will be said to our grandchildren via text message.

---men wore pink shirts
---most girls kept their hair short
---NASA was a big letdown for many people

#6 scares the shit out of me.

"Hand me the remote."

In my day rose tinted glasses were really rose tinted, not like these reddy-purple-ish ones you get today.

LOL, your coffee costs $3?

I won't say anything. No grandkids, or kids, period.

LOL, your coffee costs $3?

average price, I don't drink it anyway so I'm only guessing. McDonalds has like 99cent coffees and Starbucks is like $5 so $3 is average going price I thinks also:

"when I was you're age people had sex!"

I keep reading the thread title as "Things we'll never say to our grandkids"

anyway, 5 kb/s downloads.

We used to have to use our hands to kill someone.

Shamrock used to have a Will Smith avatar.

Imperial Overlord Shamrock used to lie like a bitch.

Gay marrige was actually disallowed in the U.S. when I was younger

At least I hope I'll be able to say that...

When I was your age,
-Only specially trained proffessionals or billionairs could go into space.
-Cars didn't have auto crash prevention, and there was a car crash every 5 seconds.
-The Earth was split into seperate sections called "Nations".
-You had to go to a special building every day for 12 years to get educated.
-Every now and again, Nature would have these strange violent upsurges like Tornadoes, Hurricanes, and Blizzards that would wreck havoc among everyone.

Back then, we all used to have genitals/reproductive organs.

Back then, we used to have no smooth way to vocally communicate /.

Back then, HL2.net was just a small forum with less than 10,000 members.

Back then, people made threads on the internet about what we would say to our future generations.

back then, you could play a game called World of Warcraft for 40 hrs straight and they'd never call you crazy but they'd throw you in a cell and throw away the key for getting caught with marijuana 3 times in the state of California....which is also a big underwater adventure park now

Back in the day we had these small metal discs and rectangular pieces of paper with numbers and swirly patterns on them. People died for these things, people sucked dicks for these things. These days it's a flimsy card with everything about you on it. You go against the system? They disable your card.

Kids, I am tired of living.

I remember to the early years of this century- this was just before the return of Jesus you have to remember- we used to use these terminals called personal computers. I know you are saying now what do you mean? We just plug into the 'main computer' but back then that was just a little web known as the internet, and it wasn't integrated into every aspect of our lives.

News sometimes took minutes to spread across the world! Whole minutes!

Thats very bad averaging. How often do you get $3 coffee compared to $6 coffee.
Im sure $3 coffee has a higher frequency, no? Because coffee down here costs 90 Cents which is around 45 UScents.
