Whose Life Sux The Most?

Calanen said:
Potentially and I wish them all the best. And a sense of perspective is good. But knowing that others are worse off than you, does not permit a person to any better manage the issues that they face themselves.
Well for a starter it should make them feel better that there not the worst off in the world. People complain and get upset about the silliest things, and most of the things people get upset about are solvable. Infact, a large percentage of them are. Its just that alot of people get stuck in a rut and can't be bothered trying to get themselves out of it because once they start thinking about how crap their life is, they think about all the things that make it crap and it gets worse and worse.

I say if knowing someone else is worse off then you, and that helps you get it together, then fine. Does no one any harm

We moved from a place that i liked, i had friends and was happy. Now we live in a shithole and i have no friends. Everything in this town sucks =D

sounds pretty much the same situation i'm in...but i'm going uni in september anyhow so i'm bearing it out

Edit: I listen to too much emo...

Damn I feel good.

Isn't it amazing what a moment away from the computer can do for you. I've faced hurdles in my life before, and this one is just the same.

Farrow, did you just do a fat edit? I was about to have some comforting wisdomness for ya :D

Today had been an awesome day.

I hate my life and Im too lazy to change anything. Its a vicious cycle.

Yes I did...

I still feel like life is caving in, but I realised this is so cliche that it'd be funny if it wasn't so sad...

A fighter, thats what my mum said. God...Life...whatever you believe, does this to you. You face hardship, and you either sit down and complain, or you fight it. My mum is a fighter, and she knows I can be to if I just keep my resolve.

I was ready to go on the long walk...

...now I'm ready to win! :D

Amazing. Sorry if I seem to be gloating, but I feel great, and I haven't even eaten a Nutrigrain bar. :O

nnnnnggghhhhhhhhhhh I FEEEEEEEEL GRRRRRRRRREAT!
But when I'm not, I just play basketball
If there is no basketball available, search out the nutri grain advert, or weebl and bob. (Not Salad Fingers though otherwise you'll get sadder)

I'm currently feeling like crap :( I've got so much work to do for tommorow, and I've been working for the last 9 hours :|

Still at this rate I'm gonna be up till about 3-ish. ;(

haha

It's funny, all these life obstacles and hurdles arising, it's best to face them head on and just say "nah i can't be ****ed" and then just walk around them.

Is there really always someone worse off that you? It seems like somewhere down the scale of misery, you'd just be tied with a bunch of people that are blind, deaf, dumb, paralyzed, and schizophrenic.

They sound contradictory, but they're not; they're abso-****ing-lutely spot on

Farrow knows all.

No, really, he does.

What if your life doesnt exactly suck, you just hate it and everything in it? Perhaps irrationally at times. Then what?

Then what you need to do is be thankful for all the good things you have in life. I mean litterally thank whoever, be it God or the people you see as responsible, for the things in life that are good. Even just saying stuff like "Thank you that I have a roof over my head" "Thank you that I have food to eat". Do that everyday, and you'l start to notice a change in your attitude towards life.

So maybe getting a religion and praying to God everyday can change your life? :stare:

I've got a shitload of Maths work to be doing - but can I be bothered tonight?

Can I ****.

Do I think life sucks?

Do I ****.

There's so much good shit going on :D

This is exactly the wrong forum for me to be in - my life is pretty rockin'. It's like Miller time all day long.

Stop wallowing in self pity and get off your arse and do something about it.
My old man said to me “You can be whatever you want to be if to do what it takes, whatever it takes ".
By the way thank you.

My life doesn't suck as much as it's an unfortunate series of events. But hey, at least I'm still alive. That's what I say every day.

------dont read this unless you want to------
edit: But seriously, ya'll gotta hear this. It's funny, and maybe it'll brighten someone's day. My life was pretty good, but then just before christmas (like in all good stories), my dad and sister were in a car crash, where he died and my sister fell into a coma for about a year in which she sustained severe brain damage so live under assisted living for the reas of her life. It turns out my father also had this certain disease which tends to incapacitate people by the time they hit 40, there's a 50/50 chance of contracting it, and all the siblings got it, including me. The other sister, who has a daughter, but not married, is going to have to give her up as a result. But to who I don't know.

Then just a couple weeks ago all of my friends got pissed at me and basically told me to **** off, and I havent heard from em since. Ah, and turns out 2 nights ago, my gf ****ed someone else, so I'm thinking were about to break up. (I havent dealt with it yet)

I WIN!

Used to believe that - do not anymore. Btw - not that its a competition, but I imagine my cv compared to most people's shows that I get off my ass a lot more than most people....

But its not just about hard work. You can work your ass off for 20 years at a company, then get fired. it may be very hard to get another job.

You can have a boss who is a complete dick who takes credit for your work and treats you really badly.

But there are some things - that you *cannot* change no matter how hard you work, or what you do. So I don't think its right to say, 'just get off your ass' ie that anything wrong in your life just meant that you were lazy.

Well, my perents are always at work, and my grandma is the only one here taking care of me, so I can say that it isn't too bad...

Thats just is Calanen...Its not just about your job. There is always another way if you look for it.

I've said it before and I'l say it again. Don't let the world make a cynic of you...Never give up, because when all is said and done, never giving up is an achievement to be proud of in itself.

Thats just is Calanen...Its not just about your job. There is always another way if you look for it.

I wasn't saying that it was - just presenting an example, one example, of how, 'you just need to work harder' is not always the answer.

Personally, it seems it always IS about a job, at school we have it drilled into our minds that we NEED good GCSE's because we HAVE to get a good job. I mean, they dont care if you hate the job as long as it pays.
Materialism seems to be drilled into kids at school, which doesnt bode well. My life seems doomed to be perpetual work, and at the moment I'm really considering why I'm bothering, and just letting myself get behind, because I seriously could not give a shit if I dont get any GCSEs. Perhaps thats the wrong view to have, buts its how I feel at the moment, and have done for a while now.

EDIT: Or maybe I'm just in a bad mood as a couple (I say a couple, I mean a gang of 8 or so) of kids a year or two younger than me are really pissing me off at school and tomorrow I'm just going to take them all on, might get battered but I'll make sure I **** one of them up badly.

If there is one reason to do well in your GCSE's its so you can at least be happy you made that achievment. I did average because I didn't try, and I wish I had...but thats in the past now. Use school, use the education system to serve your own purpose. Listen to the knowledge the teachers have, and ignore the doctrine. The way children are educated, is terrible. You're right, their aspirations are forced out and the need to get a career is put in its place. They're told that in the real world they can't do this and they'l never manage that...

The only things we can't do, are the things we don't let ourselves do. Never let anyone tell you otherwise, because if you do you'l end up like them...a sad human being who has nothing to look forward to beyond the weekend.

Honestly, as cliched as it is...you can be anything you want to be, just so long as you don't allow doubt, and fear in. I finaly realised that, and the change in my life has been incredible.

omg could you be anymore up your own arsehole? You claim to be all that in your posts yet your having to brag about it on a games forum... speaks volumes.

I'm a serial procrastinater and it's making my life hell.

So heres the kicker.
I havent a clue in the world what I want to be, or achieve. I have no goals, no targets, no aspirations. Nothing. What to do?

Well I don't really know because I'm not you.

Personally my goals in life consist of two things. Get a wife I love, and have time to spend on my art and generally being creative (making babies is included in that :naughty:)...lots of money would make things so much easier.

Oh, and I want to enjoy myself basically :D
